The writing section is 18 marks of pure format, and people ignore it
Everyone treats English as the subject you cannot study for, so they read the chapters again and call it revision. Meanwhile eighteen marks sit in the writing section, where the layout is fixed and published, and where you can score full marks by following a template.
On my script the notice took 4 of 4 and the article 5 of 5. The half mark I lost on the invitation was layout, not content — I know exactly what it was, and it is the kind of thing you only fix by having written twenty of them.
Learn the four formats until you can draw them from memory. It is the highest marks-per-hour on the entire Class 12 syllabus, in any subject.
Box the notice. Centre the invitation. Address block, subject line, salutation, body, sign-off for the letter. Every time.
Literature is 40 marks and the answers are shorter than you think
The extract questions are one mark each and want one clean sentence. The long answers are 4 or 5 and want a position, two or three supports from the text, and a conclusion — not everything you remember about the chapter.
On my script the long answers scored 4.5 and 4.5. Both are about a page. Length was never the thing being marked.
The reading section cannot be prepared, so stop trying
Twenty-two marks of unseen passages. There is nothing to revise. What there is, is a technique: answer in the words of the passage wherever the question allows it, and keep one-mark answers to one line.
My whole reading section came out clean, and I had done nothing for it except read the passage twice before starting.
Who to learn it from
Two channels, not twenty. Both checked by hand — plenty of dead accounts carry exactly the name you'd expect.

Reading a guide is the same trap as watching a one-shot — it feels like work and produces nothing on its own. Set a daily question target and start today; the number compounds much faster than it feels like it should.
